New England’s colonial meetinghouses embody an important yet little- known chapter in American history. Built mostly with tax money, they served as both places of worship and for town meetings, and were the centers of life in colonial New England communities. Presenter Paul Wainwright has a long-standing interest in photography and a love of history.

Last Sunday in June, July and August Summer Prayer and Reflection Services on Dana Hill are an opportunity to sit in the stillness of a classic New England Meeting House and commune with the Creator. These thirty minute services will include simple songs, prayers of the people, reading of scripture, a brief meditation, and a sending forth into the coming week.
