SUMMARY:The Quilts of Dana Hill
DESCRIPTION:August 7\, 2021 Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.\, . Come and enjoy the beauty of the time-honored\ntradition of quilting. Dozens of quilts will be displayed from the early 1800’s hand-stitched patchwork quilts\, right up\nuntil today’s machine-stitched modern quilts. All quilts will be displayed around the Meeting House\, a perfect backdrop\nfor this historical retrospective. Three quilts by Karen Griska\, a featured artist at many New England quilt shows and the\nNational Quilt Museum in Kentucky will be here – along with family quilts that have been passed down from generation\nto generation on Dana Hill. Visitors will be invited to vote for their favorite quilts. Stop by for a moment or a few hours\nto behold the beauty of New England quilts! Cookies and lemonade will be served on the front lawn.

Robert Goodby reveals archaeological evidence that shows their deep presence in NH just “inches below the earth’s surface.” \nSpeaker invites attendees to bring any artifacts found in fields or forests for discussion.
