We had a lovely turn out of 25+ for our Second Annual Meeting.

Susan LeDuc went over the year in review and congratulated everyone for a very successful 2021. She also thanked numerous donors and volunteers who helped make last year such a success. She went over the budget and actuals for 2021 and we are on track for having raised the funds needed for the ceiling restoration which will take place in the early fall.

Susan gratefully passed her torch as Acting President along to Thomas Smith who accepted eagerly and told stories of his passion for the Meeting House as a child when he would attend with his grandparents who lived across the Street. Thom and his family recently moved back to this family home and are excited to play more of a role in the DMHA and help it expand as a place to “Gather” for the Community. “It is so great to see it being used again because for years it was only used for one event …old Home Day Service and maybe a wedding.” Thom also outlined the summer events ahead and invited attendees to become more involved.

There was an election of officers followed by a yummy intermission outside under the tent where we were treated to wild foraged soup and Chaga Tea brought by the presenter Dr. Rick van de Poll as well as homemade bread and lemonade.
