Dana Meeting House Ceiling Restored

Dana Meeting House Association is pleased to announce that, not only has the ceiling been restored, but with the extra funds raised, the walls have also been repaired and walls and windows have been painted!

Annual Tree Lighting

PLEASE JOIN US for the THIRD ANNUAL Christmas Tree Lighting and Carol Sing. SUNDAY December 11 at 5 pm. This will be an outside event so dress warmly! There will be hot cider and cookies at the fire pit. We will have sheets of music but please also bring your favorite carols and an instrument if you have one! The Meeting House will also be open for quiet meditation during the dimming of the day.

Ceiling work planned for Spring

Due to the pandemic, contractors have been backed up and busier than usual and supplies for specific products have been hard to come by. Finally, Dana Meeting House is on schedule to have the ceiling restored in spring of 2023.

Cabinetmaker’s home was across the street

In the late 1700’s, a Revolutionary War veteran named Josiah Magoon moved to New Hampton. He was one of the first three elders of the Free Will Baptist church that regularly congregated in the Dana Meeting House, beginning in 1802.

Final Summer Evening Meditation and Service

Sunday August 28th at 5 PM, the Dana Meeting House will host the final evening meditation and service with Rev. Campbell Lovett of Holderness.

12,000 years ago in the Granite State

The Dana Meeting House Association with generous support from New Hampshire Humanities, will host Dr. Robert Goodby’s presentation, “12,000 years ago in the Granite State” on Saturday July 16th from 6-8 p.m. at the Dana Meeting House at 288 Dana Hill Road in New Hampton.
